Two billion pounds to generate electricity from wind power early next year

The Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Energy, Imam Ahmad affirmed that at the beginning of next year a project will be launched to generate electricity from wind power with a capacity of 200 megawatts in Jabal Zayt. The rest of the project will be completed in June of that year. The investment cost of the project is approximately 2 billion pounds and will be implemented in cooperation with European partners: the German KfW Development Bank, the European Investment Bank and the European Commission.
